"The hunt for Medusa’s...is that even a head?!"

Films: Perseus Against the Monsters (1963)

Alias: Medusa, Marine Dragon

Type: Mystical

Location: Desert/Lake

Height/Weight: All are roughly the size of forklifts.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The myth of Perseus is an old one, but it has merit! In fact, there's a movie out there that does it a whole lot of justice. It's not this one sadly.

History: Medusa's been up to no good, turning unwary innocents and soldiers to stone, and the Greek folks are having problems with themselves anyway with all the conflict between each other. Only Perseus seems to have any confidence and skill to see this to the end. Or so we're told.

Notable Kills: Medusa turns people to stone with a gaze. Need we say more?

Final Fate: The dragon is stabbed to death by Perseus underwater, and medusa is killed upon being stabbed in the eye, freeing those she petrified.

Powers/Abilities: With a gaze, Medusa can turn foes into stone figures. She also has impenetrable skin.

Weakness: Medusa's one soft spot is her eye.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-We'll give this to the people behind this film, this is the weirdest version of Medusa yet. She looks less like a snake-maiden and more like a land-dwelling demon jellyfish thing with tendrils coming out of everywhere and a cycloptic face. It almost makes up for the slightly-impressive but overall stupid dragon. Look how stubby that guy's legs are! The only reason he's a threat is because Perseus forgot how to stab things on land that time!

Trivia: -If you're looking for a more faithful adaptation of Perseus' story, seek "Clash of the Titans". We'll talk about that later.

-Medusa was human once in the myth. But when Poseidon, the God of the seas, sexually assaulted her in a temple of Athena, the Goddess of wisdom cursed...her to be the monster? Yeah, those myths suffered a bit from protagonist-centered morality.

Uh, Perseus? Medusa's gone. You can open your eyes.

Who could hurt a face like that?

AAAAND all the boners for Medusa from the fanart are officially dead.
Not a lie, really. Name ONE person who's heard of this film.

They fight crime.

There's chopping off the head, as per tradition, and then there's punishment like THIS.
